Hey, Check This Out: Logorama

You know when you first hear a song that hits you square in the gut, gives you chills and reminds you of just how deep the soul goes? The one that makes you want to kidnap your favorite (or just the nearest) person, get them in your car and blast the tune for them? That feeling of raw, unbridled enthusiasm is a tremendous part of why we have this blog.
It’s part of our job to scour all sorts of media and resources to stay on top or ahead of what’s happening in our business‚ and luckily for us, our business is full of cool stuff. As a result, we have no shortage of things that hit us just right, that excite us. And the bottom line is, it’s way more fun and gratifying to share it with you than it is to just keep it to ourselves.
So, hey, check this out: It’s Logorama, the film that won this year’s Oscar® for best animated short, directed by the French collective H5. The film presents us with our world redrawn: composed entirely of the logos we see everyday (the ultimate incarnation of “make the logo bigger”). It’s a brilliant idea, executed beautifully: it makes a great point, in a fun way. Upwards of 2500 logos are hurled our way, in around fifteen minutes. It’s the kind of thing you want to watch over and over just to pick up on more and more. How many logos do you recognize–or is it easier to count the ones you don’t? Does Logorama have any affect on the way you see modern corporate/brand ubiquity?
Link goodness:
A couple of links to watch Logorama in its entirety (since they seem to be getting shut down pretty quickly):
Thanks for tuning in,
